BEST WESTERN AKU TIKI INN: 800-258-8454
Best West Aku Tiki
A distinct tropical style with just the right touch of "tiki" makes this oceanfront property a pure Polynesian pleasure. Hearty bamboo, mature palms, colorful hibiscus and an indoor/outdoor pond stocked with giant Japanese goldfish add to the authenticity of this tropical oasis. Deep earth tone hues and dark wood accents complement the interiors, from the common areas to guest rooms. From miniatures to giants, tikis adorn the hallways and walkways throughout.
Aku Tiki translates as "water gardens", so it's no surprise that the property is surrounded by water. The Atlantic Ocean claims the east shore, while the Inter-Coastal Waterway is visible to the west.
Beginning in August of 2004, an extensive renovations project will take place at the Inn. The plan will include upgrades to all soft goods, meeting space, restaurant, common areas and much more. This million dollar project was completioned in 2005.

Lush landscaping, warm tropical colors and salty breezes characterize the cool Caribbean charm of this boutique hotel, inside and out. Brilliant hibiscus, soaring palms and giant philodendron grace the numerous outdoor planting areas and winding pathways. Throughout the interior, commissioned paintings by local artist Sandy Lloyd portray various island scenes and are the backdrop to the overall casual yet elegant theme of the property.
